• All efforts must be made to highlight MTIFF 2010 in the media through Press Conferences/ Media Briefings/ Press Releases/etc. Other related events like Seminar/Panel Discussion/Open Forum/Symposium/etc could be organized on the sidelines of MTIFF 2010 to grab more eyeballs. Copies of all media reportage (both print and electronic) MUST be collated and sent to SIGNIS Bengal and SIGNIS Asia (on DVDs). A brief report (soft copy) on the event (number of people/ inauguration/dignitaries/ etc) and a few pictures would be greatly appreciated.

• Similar initiatives to highlight MTIFF 2010 on the internet through chat rooms/blogs/facebook/twitter/yahoo groups/etc are highly encouraged and solicited. Any other efforts/measures to promote and advocate MTIFF 2010 will be much appreciated.

• The local SIGNIS organizer is requested to inform and invite the Missionaries of Charity Sisters if they have a mission in the participating country.

• It is expressly desired by SIGNIS Asia and the organizers of the MTIFF 2010 to hold the screenings in secular venues/market place and to solicit participation from ALL sections of society across religious/cultural/linguistic/class divides. (Please avoid churches and religious venues, if possible).

• MTIFF 2010 film/documentary screening is absolutely non-commercial in nature with FREE entry to the venue. There shall be NO fee charged for the screenings.

• MTIFF 2010 depends entirely on generous benefactors/sponsors for unavoidable expenses like taxes, transport, venue, screenings, publicity, printing and stationary, etc. After the conclusion of MTIFF 2010 any surplus/excess funds may be donated to SIGNIS Bengal.

• To recognize and appreciate the contribution of the film/documentary producer/owner to permit the screening for free. We request that you promote the film/documentary producer, cast and crew information / other publicity materials included in brochures / hoardings / advertisements / media releases / entry passes etc to ensure maximum visibility and promote awareness about the film and its producers.

• The MTIFF 2010 package includes ten (10) film/documentary. Cost slightly defers by regions. Package A: South Asia Countries – USD 50.00, Package B: South East Asia Countries – USD 70.00, Package C: East Asia Countries – USD 100 Package D: All other regions – USD 150 Amount charged to SIGNIS Asia member countries/region is to cover actual expenses like DVD duplication, stationary, administration and primarily courier charges by regions.

• Deadline: Closing date for the signing of the mutual contract and depositing of money according to Package A,B,C or D is 31 July 2010. SIGNIS Bengal will ensure that once the contract is signed and package amount is deposited within the deadline, participating SIGNIS member country will receive their package by 16 August 2010.

• All payments for the MTIFF 2010 package must be paid through the SIGNIS Bengal bank account before the package can be dispatched through an international courier service. The dispatching country MUST send a written communication stating the purpose of this transfer i.e. courier costs.

THE MTIFF 2010 PACKAGE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
1. Ten (10) high quality DVD’s of MT films/documentaries.
2. Ten (10) synopsis – A5 size with pix. Will include released year/producer/running time etc.
3. Ten (10) copyright letters from producer/owner or one letter that covers all.
4. One (1) contract letter between SIGNIS Bengal and participating SIGNIS country representative.
5. Soft copies of MITFF 2010 promotional materials.
6. A copy of Contract document (no4) in hard copy will be sent to SIGNIS Asia Board.

SIGNIS ASIA/SIGNIS BENGAL GUIDELINES AND EXPRESSED CONDITIONS FOR MTIFF 2010:
• The MTIFF 2010 movie screening permission is granted ONLY through SIGNIS Bengal and on the recommendation of SIGNIS Asia member country board/executives. (National, Associate and International members).

• A mutual contract letter between SIGNIS Bengal (President/Secretary) and SIGNIS participating country (President/Secretary) MUST be signed to guarantee the conditions of screening.

• The 10 titles of Mother Teresa films/documentaries (in high quality DVDs) received are not to be duplicated or copied in any part thereof.

• The MTIFF 2010 screening permission will only be valid for the duration of one week, between 1-31 October 2010, after which normal copyright laws will duly apply. The film/documentary can ONLY be screened thrice (maximum) at each venue. After the MTIFF 2010 ends, the SIGNIS local country board is to retain the 10 DVD’s for its library.

• The SIGNIS participating country is expected to design, produce and bear the expenses for all the promotional materials (Brochure/flyer/poster/advertisements/etc) as may be required for screenings in their respective countries.
